Of ritual, of restraint.
Ivory ground, vermilion border. The cloth of ritual mornings — undyed, unornamented, only the red of an ancestral border.

Garad Korial is a ritual cloth — undyed body, sindoor border, no other ornament. We recommend it for Saraswati Puja, Sandhi Puja, Mahalaya, and the rites that ask for stillness. It is a saree that should not be lifted with jewellery; it is its own ornament.
01
Atpoure, with a small sindoor in the parting. Jasmine in the hair if it's morning.
02
A red bindi. A single strand of pearls if anything at all. Shaakha pola for married women.
03
Do not pair with gold jewellery. Do not wear at evening receptions. The Garad is for the morning.
