A Tussar silk saree covered, end to end, in a single year's hand-Kantha. The motifs are floral; the stitch density is at its highest in the pallu, where it forms a near-solid embroidered field.
Stitched by the Kantha sisterhood at Shantiniketan over eight months. Each saree is signed by its lead stitcher on the inside hem.
